Yoshitoshi (1839-1892) was one of the last great master artists of the Ukiyo-e 'Floating World' genre. This print depicts Prince Semimaru tuning a lute by the light of the full moon at his mountain retreat on Mount Ausaka. From Yoshitoshi's iconic series of woodblock prints '100 aspects of the moon'.
