HISTORY:
The basket weave pattern references bamboo in traditional Japanese textiles and symbolises good luck, happiness and prosperity.

This piece is an original vintage piece dating from the Mid-Showa Period (1960s). The exterior condition is excellent, there is slight tarnishing on the metal frame. The inside is in very good condition with some marks in keeping with the age of the item. This item is over 50 years old.
