Ethically produced by upcycling/repurposing vintage silk originally from a Japanese Obi belt, used to tie Kimono. The floral motif is known as Kiku, a traditional and auspicious Japanese symbol of regal beauty, rejuvenation and longevity. The front is made from upcycled vintage Japanese obi silk which is woven with real gilt thread and dates from the Mid Showa Period (40 years +). The reverse is made from upcycled vintage kimono silk in black.
