Paulownia Tree (Kiri) is a fast-growing tree with foxglove-like purple flowers and the only tree the Phoenix will alight upon. Planted when a baby girl is born, the wood is then used to fashion articles for her dowry. We will send you our Hunted and Stuffed guide to symbols in Japanese textiles FREE with every order.

The front is made from upcycled vintage Japanese obi silk which is woven with real gilt thread. The reverse is made from upcycled vintage kimono silk in black.

Slightly different pattern placement on each pillow, see photos. Any preference, leave a message at checkout.
