Antique obi cushion of silk made by hand in the famous Nishijin silk weaving area in Kyoto, the centre of this ancient and highly skilled craft dating back through generations of families. Features Japanese historical figures in various outdoor social activities (remember those?!)

* Ethically sourced British made feather pad (available as just the cover here)
* Fully lined inside with cotton
* Concealed zip at base for easy pad removal

Sustainably produced by upcycling/repurposing vintage silk originally from a Japanese Obi sash dating from the Mid Showa Period (over 40 years old).

The reverse is made from a designer luxury cotton velvet in plum/purple.
