Beautiful pair of small obi cushions in black, pink and metallic gold accents of spider chrysanthemum (kiku) design made by repurposing the finest vintage Japanese Obi silks.

This beautiful, rare throw cushions with metallic accents subtly catch the light. Use them to finesse your sofa decor and add an injection of colour. This is the only pair made and so would make a truly one-of-a-kind gift or treat. Comes with hand foiled tag which details it's edition number.

Ethically produced by upcycling/repurposing vintage silk originally from a Japanese Obi belt, used to tie Kimono. The floral motif is known as Kiku, a traditional and auspicious Japanese symbol of regal beauty, rejuvenation and longevity. The front is made from upcycled vintage Japanese obi silk which is woven with real gilt thread and dates from the Mid Showa Period (40 years +). The reverse is made from upcycled vintage kimono silk in black.
