Inspired by the Shikoku pilgrim path of the 88 temples. Imagine the peace of tranquil bamboo groves and pine forests as you gently walk on to the next mountain top site to receive the red temple stamp on your white kimono.

Pine trees (Matsu) symbolise longevity, steadfastness and wisdom in age. Associated with winter and the new year. Mountains (Yama) depict sacred places between heaven and earth. You will receive a FREE Hunted and Stuffed guide to symbols in Japanese textiles with your order.

The pillow is strengthened and protected inside by a cotton lining, each cushion is fully over-locked and sewn with a concealed zip at the base. Luxurious designer velvet is used on the reverse to compliment the vintage silk.

Each cushion is hand made in the UK and comes with it's own foiled tag that details the date and origin of each beautiful textile.
