Long blue kimono chirimen silk cushion with Crane and Bamboo raised goldwork design and gold velvet back reverse.
Made from vintage Japanese silk with metallic gilt thread.

This amazing vintage textile is upcycled from a vintage Japanese Kimono dating from the Mid Showa period (over 40 years old) and is in excellent condition. Created with a yuzen dyeing pattern in a rare blue.

Symbols: Cranes (Tsuru) inhabit the land of the immortals and symbolise longevity and good fortune. The river (Kawa) or winding stream represents continuity and the future. The pillow is strengthened and protected inside by a cotton lining, each cushion is fully over-locked and sewn with a concealed zip at the base for easy removal. Luxurious golden cotton velvet is used on the reverse to compliment the vintage silk.

Filled with a British made luxury quality feather pad. Each cushion is hand made in the UK and comes with it's own foiled tag that details the date and origin of each beautiful textile.
